BALA CYNWYD, PA

Working with other companies, you might have to work with your own designer to determine which options are best for your home or find a separate installer who is licensed to put your cabinets and countertops in correctly. If you work with a company that only provides countertops or cabinets, but not both, the process is even more of a headache.

We take a different approach. The entire remodeling process happens here with a single team. For you, this means easy communication, consistent service, and a seamless final design since all pieces are created in one place.

When you partner with MacLaren Kitchen and Bath for a remodel, we handle:

• Design – The design stage includes planning the layout of your cabinets or countertops and choosing materials, colors, and finishes. Designing also includes the more technical details such as working within the dimensions of the room and with the measurements of appliances. Our talented designers take all of this work off your hands while using your input to plan the cabinets and countertops that will work with your space and lifestyle.
• Fabrication – A complete design moves to the fabrication stage where cabinetmakers and countertop fabricators will turn the plan into reality. We keep our production time as fast as possible without ever cutting corners.
• Installation – Our licensed and insured installers deliver the completed countertops and cabinets to your home and begin the install. Because this part of the process can often involve last minute steps and adjustments, they make sure that everything is correctly in place and you are happy with the result before we consider the project finished.

One company to manage all elements of cabinet or countertop production also means a faster turnaround time and a clear timeline up front. Depending on the size of your project and cabinet manufacturer timelines, most of our work is ready for installation in a matter of a few weeks or less.

Custom cabinets are a chance to combine form and function in nearly any room of your home.

At MacLaren Kitchen and Bath, we plan and create:

• Kitchen Cabinets – Cabinets are the first step in designing any kitchen as they determine where your sink and appliances will go, as well as different storage options, kitchen islands, and dining areas.
• Bathroom Cabinets – From vanity cabinets to other storage needs in your bathroom, custom bathroom cabinets provide space for toiletries, linens, beauty tools, and more with a style that compliments other fixtures.
• Office Cabinets – Storage is a must in your home office. Custom cabinets let you introduce that storage in a way that looks professional and permanent. This also gives you the option for built-in desks and a design plan that caters to the type of work you do.
• Laundry Room Cabinets – In your utility room, pantry, or laundry room, cabinets help keep the space neat and maximize available storage. They are also a lasting investment in the value of your home.
• Outdoor Cabinets – Like indoor kitchens, outdoor kitchens require you to keep your cooking equipment close. Outdoor kitchen cabinets are attractive and convenient while also being able to withstand the seasonal weather here in Bala Cynwyd.

Wherever you install cabinets, the design will start with individual cabinet boxes. These are the different cabinet shapes such as base cabinets, wall cabinets, full height cabinets, and island cabinets. For bathroom cabinets, there are also vanity cabinets.

Each type of cabinet box has its own measurements and uses. Full height cabinets, for instance, reach from floor to ceiling, or the height of your upper cabinets. They provide a full wall of storage and give appliances a built-in look when the cabinets are placed around the appliance.

Incorporating the various cabinet boxes into your project is what allows us to create custom cabinetry for so many different spaces. Most of these cabinet types are standard in kitchens, but are adaptable to anywhere storage is needed.

Your Design Options for Cabinetry

The design choices for cabinets today are extensive, and MacLaren Kitchen and Bath has made efforts to offer all of the most popular cabinetry choices along with innovative and traditional designs. Color is the most important factor when choosing cabinets that will fit in with a style and other elements like paint and countertops, so it the first choice many of our customers make.

Woods alone provide a range of shades and colors, and added staining increases this variety.

Some of the most popular woods for cabinets you will find in our showroom include:

• Cherry
• Oak
• Maple
• Walnut, and More

As an alternative to wood cabinets, painted cabinets can come in any color. White, cream, grey, and blue are currently trending colors that many of our cabinetry brands readily offer, but you can also create fully custom cabinets in any scheme that you choose. Our cabinet makers can paint your cabinets black, green, yellow, red, pink, and more.

While color will be one of the more visible contributions to the overall look of your cabinets, other features are similarly important to the look and feel. This includes the door front style. These include options from the simple and clean slab cabinets or shaker cabinets to the more traditional or rustic raised panel cabinets and beadboard cabinets.

Other choices like glass front cabinet doors, built-in lighting, shelving, organizational inserts, and more are all available to create a kitchen, bathroom, or space that reflects your tastes and is enjoyable to use.

With our array of options for countertops – materials, sizes, colors, finishes, and decorative features – we can create a countertop that serves as a functional and attractive workspace in any location in your home.

Some of the countertop types we regularly fabricate include:

• Kitchen Countertops
• Island Countertops
• Bathroom Countertops
• Vanity Countertops
• Outdoor Countertops
• Office Countertops
• Utility Room Countertops

Our countertops are available for fully new or remodeled kitchens, where no cabinets are currently in place. We can also provide countertop replacements, putting new countertops atop existing cabinets as a way to refresh the appearance and functionality of the space.

For replacement countertops, we utilize the dimensions of your existing countertop. This lets you keep the current layout of your kitchen and your cabinets while refreshing your kitchen with a new countertop slab. In general, you have the same options with replacement countertops as you do with new countertops, making this an affordable way to bring your kitchen up to date, replace a damaged slab, or choose a stone that better meets your family’s needs.

Countertops are an aesthetic feature and a functional one. They tie together your kitchen or bathroom’s design by uniting cabinets, flooring, backsplashes, and paint. Depending on where they are installed, countertops are also an essential workspace that, in many properties, sees daily use and needs to last.

We fabricate granite countertops, marble countertops, quartz countertops, soapstone countertops, and solid surface countertops. When beginning the search for your new countertop, the material will be among the first choices you make as the base determines other options such as color, finish, and edge profile.

Each material offers a different look. Some are best suited for certain lifestyles, maintenance needs, and budgets as well.

Our designers will consider questions like the following with you to be sure you are selecting the best option for you:

• Is this a kitchen countertop, bathroom countertop, outdoor countertop, or for another room?
• Are you replacing a current countertop or designing a completely new one?
• What activities do you envision using your countertops for – cooking, entertaining, crafting, etc.?
• What looks and styles do you prefer?
• What is your budget?

With the natural stone or manufactured stone slab chosen for your countertop, we will guide you through additional options. Through your choice of finishes and edges, we can design countertops that compliment styles like modern, contemporary, traditional, rustic, farmhouse, and more.

Our range of countertop materials and finishing options enables us to match existing or already planned cabinetry or realize nearly any design style you may have in mind.
